How does this work?

By setting a Timed Event to control access to your modem, the cable box, and videogame consoles you can turn off power to certain appliances when you don’t want kids to be able to use them.

Step 1.

Plug a MiniTimer in at a secret location in your house no more than 100 feet from the unit you’d like to control.

Step 2.

Plug an Appliance Module in to the wall socket that you usually use for your modem, cable box, DVD player, or videogame console.

Step 2.

If your kids are older, replace the regular wall socket with a new X10 SuperSocket. It has an Appliance Module built into it and your kids can’t unplug it from the wall.

Step 3.

Set a Timed Event to your MiniTimer that only allows power to the SuperSocket or Appliance Module during appropriate times of day.
